Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation

Served as president of the Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation in Orlando from 2008-2012 and vice president from 2004-2008. During that time, Zappa led a 501C3 entity established to serve educational needs of every link in the chain of survival, from the public to EMS, nursing and physicians.

CAPE FEAR VALLEY HEALTH FOUNDATION                                                                   

Served as founding member of the Caduceus Society in 2017. Currently making progress engaging physicians as both donors and decision-makers in the deployment of resources.

Cumberland Health Net

Served as Board Member, Chairman, and on the Clinical Committee.

Next Generation Sector Partnership

Served as Chairman of the Integration and Coordination of Care Task Force in Cumberland County, North Carolina.
